Feel the Difference
Place your foot on a low stool, chair, or bench.
Fold forward and hold the stretch for 10–15 seconds.
Notice how far you reach. Notice how it feels.
Give Your Brain a Job
Hold any object — a ball, book, or pillow — against your chest.
Same position. Your only goal: bring the object to your leg.
Don't think about the stretch.
Don't think about your hamstring.
Just move the object toward your leg.
Did you move farther? Did it feel easier?
When the task changes, the nervous system often changes how it organizes movement.
Sometimes more range isn't about stretching harder —
it's about giving the brain something better to do.
